This Reds scorecard from a Friday night game against the Giants as the '61 season was winding down. Cincinnati won the NL pennant for the first time in 21 years, but they couldn't come up with any offense in this game, The Giants southpaw Billy O'Dell held the Reds to just eight hits. San Francisco's lineup also had just eight hits off Reds starter Bob Purkey, but Jose Pagan's single and double knocked home three runs.
