    Description
This is a 1968 World Series program between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers played at Busch Memorial Stadium in St. Louis.
    The program is not scored.
The Tigers beat the Cardinals in the 1968 World Series 4 games to 3, coming back from a 3 games to 1 deficit. The Tigers offensive attack was led by Al Kaline, who batted .379 with 2 home runs, 8 RBI and 6 runs scored. Norm Cash batted .385 with a home run, 5 RBI and 5 runs scored. Willie Horton hit .304 with a home run, 3 RBI and 6 runs scored. But the real hero of the 1968 World Series was Mickey Lolich who was the winning pitcher in games 2, 5 and 7 and won the series MVP.
The Cardinals were led by Lou Brock, who batted .464 with 2 home runs, 5 RBI, 6 runs scored and 7 stolen bases. Tim McCarver and Julian Javier each batted .333. Orlando Cepeda batted .250 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI. Bob Gibson shutout the Tigers in game 1 with 17 strikeouts. He allowed only 1 run in game 4, striking out 10. But he was the losing pitcher in game 7.
The condition of this program is VG-EX. The front cover has nice color, with some light wear. There is some rolling of the upper right corner. The back cover has nice color, showing a bit of wear in the circle picture, and some light staining at the borders. The spine is strong, with chipping on the edge. The top tip is split about 1/8". The insides are clean. The center scorecard spread is solidly attached to the program. Please check the scans.
Don't miss out on this excellent piece of St. Louis Cardinal and Detroit Tiger history.

    Shipping
Shipping and handling is .75. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases. If you win multiple items, please wait for me to provide you with an updated invoice reflecting your total purchases.
Why I don't offer "free" shipping.
We all know that there is no such thing as "free" shipping. The post office charges for every item they deliver. So the only way to offer "free" shipping is to build the shipping charge into the price of the item. However, often times people purchase multiple lots. By not building in the shipping charge into the price of each item, I am able to combine shipping charges, thereby saving you money. My shipping charges are very reasonable. With my safe and secure packaging, I often charge less than I spend on postage and packaging. I sincerely believe that by offering a low shipping charge along with combined shipping for multiple lots I am able to save you money in the long-run.
    About Us
I am a collector just like you. I get frustrated with over-grading and people trying to profit from excessive shipping fees. I believe I am a conservative grader. I provide high quality scans and/or photos to give you the best view possible. I will disclose any defects to the best of my ability. However, if I happen to miss something, simply return the item within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
