Description
These custom made Goonies Spanish Doubloons are cast in metal and carefully tarnished to create the appearance of a long forgotten coin. This replica is a 1:1 scale of the original prop. Both sides of the coin are designed to be screen accurate to the original prop. This is one of the few iconic props in The Goonies. According to legend, One-Eyed Willy had his own currency cast for use amongst his men. One of his coins was marked with three small holes as a clue to help lead to his cache of hidden treasure. A band of kids who live in the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, dub themselves the Goonies. This doubloon along with the treasure map they find successfully leads them to One-Eyed Willy's treasure which contains various gold coins and jewels. This doubloon is about 2.32 inches (59mm) in diameter and .130 inches (3.3mm) in thickness. The weight is 1.6 oz (46g).
This listing is for one (1) Goonies Spanish doubloon. The picture with multiple doubloons is there to show the slight variations that can occur from coin to coin.
