HP Hewlett Packard 82240A Infrared Thermal Printer, with batteries, works great

Description

This listing is for a Hewlett-Packard HP 82240A Thermal Printer for HP calculators such as 48G, 48GX, 48G+, 19BII, 17BII, 38G, 39G and 41C.  Also included is the HP F1011A wall adapter, Instruction Booklet and the original box with Stytrafoam insert.  The printer is in excellent condition.  It passes the self test and I have also verified that the IR link is able to receive data (see picture of a 48G screen print).  The printouts are very clear, can even print the smaller time/date font from the top line of the 48G.  The battery compartment is clean and all battery terminals are in excellent condition.  It will come with four Duracell AA batteries with year 2023 expiration date and almost a complete roll of thermal paper installed as shown in the pictures.  I have verified that the printer will print on batteries alone or using the wall adapter without batteries installed.  The 61 page instruction book is in excellent condition with no missing pages and no writing, rips or tears.  The box is in only fair condition with some rips and missing pieces.  All pictures shown are of the actual printer and other items you will receive.  The 48G calculator show in one of the pictures is not part of this sale, it is only to demonstrate printing from an HP calculator.  Ships via USPS Priority Mail with tracking.
One interesting feature of the 82240A is the self test which also performs a battery strength test and reports the result at the end of the self test printout.  Battery performance is scored from 1 to 5 with a 5 being the strongest level.  The 82240A is reporting the level of the Duracell AA batteries included as a 4 (see picture).  When running on the wall charger without the batteries installed, it reports a level of 5.
