'fright night,'
is this really nice vintage girl sized, cowgirl brown and butternut brushed suede & leather 'A-line' skirt, with two studded, cut-out suede star decorated lower pockets. The skirt and similar suede chaps and brushed suede leather vest were all found in the same estate and were produced by the
John R. Craighead Company
of
Denver, Colorado,
most likely in the
mid-1970's to mid-1980's,
making them about
35 to 45 yrs old.
The brushed suede chocolate brown and butternut skirt is in great shape, considering its age and vintage pedigree and looks to have been seldom worn or worn possibly only on
Ha
ll
o
we
en
or at a celebratory birthday party for a young cowgirl. The suede leather is still supple and soft and the butternut orange and chocolate brown colors are still vivid, saturated and largely undiminished. The belted suede skirt and suede chaps don't have a maker's label, as does the signed suede leather vest they were found with. Rounded metal studs finish the trim around the two front, lower pockets.
