    Description

Igor Stravinsky's opera is one of my
    favorite
    mid-20th
    century
    pieces. Based
on the rise and fall of a young Englishman in decadent 18th century London, this modern-dress production stars Paul Appleby as the innocent Tom Rakewell, Layla Claire as his faithful girl back home Anne Trulove, Gerald Finley as the tempter Mephistopheles, and Stephanie Blythe as the mysterious Baba the Turk.
Met Opera Playbills not only have info on the show on the cover--they also contain interviews with top stars, directors and musicians. Every show, vintage or modern, will include essays by the producers on their composers, histories and orchestrations. Even the ads often feature music and movie stars to appeal to the upscale demographics that usually attends the theater.
All Playbills have been carefully stored in a pet-free, smoking-free home. Like new or very good condition, although a few may show very minor normal wear and tear. No rips or missing staples or pages.
All booklets will be shipped first class with a acid-free backboard in a comics-storage bag.. Shipping is free within the U.S. 10% of sales are going to New York Cares, a great charity that is helping us in the city while the entertainment industry is shut down.
