We have a early electric Automotive Dash clock manufactured by Sterling Electric Company of New York City. The Sterling Electric Company was one of the first companies to have an electric dash clock. The patent date is 12/24/1924 which is early for electric clocks. I have been told that the Sterling Electric Clock Company was a division of Westclox of La Salle Illinois. The dimensions of the clock are as follows, the clock is 2 7/8" in diameter, the oval is 2 3/4" x 1 7/8". I believe it would have been installed in the dash of a bigger car like a Cadillac, Packard, LaSalle, Lincoln or something with a long wheel base. A Sterling Electric Clock would be a nice addition to your car and would fill that hole in the dash you may have with this era accessory. Sterling Electric also made clocks for other cars that were installed on the Header of cars like the Model A Fords, Chevrolet, Plymouth and other similar automobiles of the late 20's or early 30's. The clock would need a good cleaning and tune-up before I would try to see if runs. I have a couple Sterling Electric Clocks that I have taken apart cleaned and put back together that are working and keeping good time. I am open to any reasonable offer.
